Wave cut notch…2007Having just recently returned from a FANTASTIC fieldtrip to North Yorkshire… it was great to upload lots of photos (some interesting ones) from all the fabulous work we have done.
We started with our coastal processes data collection along West cliff beach in Whitby…
Wave cut Notch 2008On the second day… we travelled across the moors to Scarborough. A typical tourist resort??

The third day involved a mixture of rivers work at Falling Foss and Throstle’s Nest and a trip down into Whitby CBD itself. But do you think Whitby is a town of two halves??

Over the next few wekks, the AS level Geographers will be creating the most brilliant projects yet! Each student will research and present a title of their choice, based on the collection of data over the 4 day fieldtrip. We wish all those students lots of hard work!
